Event Description:
In 2006 the least secure sector of the American working class, Immigrant workers, responded to HR 4437. This bill would have criminalized workers for being the victims of a selective documentation policy and criminalized those who attempted to organize them to defend their rights as workers. This action brought millions of workers into the streets to protest this anti worker legislation, and as a result defeated the bill. Now all American workers find that their security to bargain collectivly is under attack. This is a call for all organized workers and unorganized workers to attend this meeting to join our coalition to organize in solidarity against proposed and already enacted state and national anti worker legislation.
