Why is it...

...that whenever feminists and other social activists point out the links between events and/or attitudes we're "conspiracy theorists"?

  1. I don't think it's just feminists or activists, I've been accused of the same thing. I think people, in general, are comfortable thinking that the various problems of the world are driven by multiple sources of corruption, at multiple levels within society. People, in general, tend to get really uncomfortable when confronted with the possibility that many things in the world might be happening through the will of a few (or even a single) corrupt entities.
